The Six of Cups is often a card about nostalgia; looking back on how things ‘used’ to be. It can be (but is not always) connected with children or childhood.

Reversed Cards: When the Page of Pentacles shows up in the mirror aspect, you are being asked to take a good look at all the resources you currently have at your disposal. Now is the time to do an inventory, and I dont just mean of your money, though knowing exactly what is coming in and going out sure wouldnt hurt. But you also need to take stock of your health, connections, relationships, and social networks. There is a good chance you arent seeing everything you have at your disposal. Just keep in mind that you are collecting data only, not taking action.

Creative Tarot: I assigned one card per section. My essays about love? The Six of Cups. I gave the Five of Coins to my essays about poverty and political action. And so on. The Seven of Coins did not line up perfectly with my more humorous essays, but as that card often indicates a pause, I thought it could represent a pause for the reader: a bit of lightness after dealing with some of the darker material.
Tarot Triumphs: The main source for this layout is A. E. Waite’s The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, first published in 1911. As mentioned earlier, Waite produced his own carefully composed set of Tarot cards, referred to as the Rider-Waite pack, which were painted by Pamela Colman Smith and include pictorial versions of the four suits.8

Reversed Cards: If ever there were a dreamer, it would be the sign of Pieces, and here, with the coaxing influence of Mars, it is understandable that you are only seeing what you wish to see and not what is truly there. Denial does not create a reality worth living, and here with the Ten of Cups retrograde you might be repeating an old self-sabotaging cycle. Do yourself a favor and really check in and see that your dream has not disengaged you from what actually needs to take place in your life to bring about happiness and joy. Only then will you be able to turn this card around.
