Your Chosen Card – Ten of Chalices Reversed Salem Deck
When reversed, the Ten of Cups highlights family problems, domestic disruptions, and a sense of sadness in the home. There can also be a certain amount of strife and tension in other personal relationships. You may be experiencing a lack of a sense of fulfillment or a failure to achieve your hearts desires; or else you have gotten what you want but you find it lacking. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Crowley says of this card that having got everything you wanted, you realize that you did not want it after all, and now you must pay the piper.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Portable Magic: This set of correspondences has stood the test of time, and has much to recommend it. I have no hesitation in using it as the foundation for Tarot magic since I believe that it is, in the main, correct. However, it should not be regarded as perfect or unchangeable. Aleister Crowley did not think it so, even though he accepted the teachings of the Golden Dawn as a received higher wisdom. In his own work on the Tarot, The Book of Thoth, he made an inversion of the associations of the trump the Star with those of the trump the Emperor, to correct what he perceived as an imbalance in the Golden Dawn arrangement of correspondences. He did not take this step on his own authority, but followed the directive of his holy guardian angel, Aiwass, who made the statement in a work psychically received from the spirit by Crowley that ‘Tzaddi is not the Star’ (see Crowley, The Book of Thoth, 9; also his The Book of the Law, 26) .
Reversed Cards: Have you ever been to someones house and the walls were lined with pictures of what appears to be the perfect family, only you found out later its all for show? That is what I often think of when I see the Ten of Cups in the mirror aspect; the outer image is not even close to aligning with the real situation. If you have this card in the mirror aspect, you might be creating a false image of who you really are. This sort of disingenuous projection will never hold up, so be forewarned that someone will eventually see through all the smoke and mirrors.
Tarot for Beginners: Reversed, this card may be revealing self-doubt, a lack of self-discipline, or some other weakness. You may be avoiding dealing with difficult emotions like anger and are therefore prevented from moving past an obstacle. The inclination to run away rather than risk confrontations will ultimately cause more harm than its worth. Alternatively, you may be being advised to curb baser instincts, such as overindulgence in food or drink.

Reversed Cards: Here in the retrograde aspect, we see Jupiter and Leo lighting the path to victory. But its only the path. This is important to remember. As Jupiter retrogrades, you will need Leos fire to burn brightly as you put in the time, energy, and effort to bring yourself into the vortex of success. When this card shows up in your reading, just know that you are not there yet. You are close, but you are missing something. Maybe you have not managed to get all your wands working together, or perhaps your foundation is not as strong as it needs to be to support your growth. Whatever it is, correct the issue and then watch the blessings of the upright and direct Jupiter come to pass.
