Career, Work Or Retirement:

When the Moon appears in reverse, things unfortunately may not seem clear in the slightest with your work. Most damaging of all is when you think you are clear on something and you actually are not. It will be important that you ask questions, particularly of your superiors, and practice active listening to make sure that you and your co-workers understand each other perfectly. Stay as patient and calm as you can, and particularly if you are feeling attacked, give your coworkers and supervisors the benefit of any doubt. Reality may not be anywhere close to as bad as you think. Don’t push for major changes on the work front; the time may not be right, unless you are looking for a new position.

Luna indicates that things may seem somewhat confusing to you now. You may find it hard to understand where you are coming from, much less what others are thinking and feeling! You need to try to sit with the uncertainty, don’t try to force things or people to do things before they are ready. This card is the ‘Pisces’ of the deck.

Book Details
Portable Magic: Linked to elemental Earth are the gnomes, who often pass among human beings unseen. When they show themselves, it is commonly in the form of human beings of short stature with heavy, powerful bodies and mature faces. Those who come in male form may be bearded. They seldom appear without clothing, which is of a heavy and rough kind, suitable for physical work. Their dark eyes are bright

Portable Magic: In more complex rituals, when two or three realizers are used on the triangle, the planetary modifier of each may be placed on its ruling sign in the circle. Care should be taken where possible not to create aspects between the planetary trumps on the circle that are unfavourable to the achievement of the ritual purpose. In general, the choice of the modifiers is more important than the aspects they define, but if you can avoid a disharmonious aspect, it is sensible to do so. Aspects can be manipulated because five of the seven planets rule two signs. Whether a modifier is placed on the sign it rules in the solar or lunar sect has less influence on the outcome of the ritual than the aspects it forms, so consideration of aspects should be given precedence. By intelligently choosing which sign will receive the planetary trump, unfortunate aspects can often be avoided.

Creative Tarot: Shuffle the cards and lay them out however you wish. If a card is upside down, you can decide if you want to read it that way or if you prefer to turn it around. Some tarot readers see an upside-down card—a “reversed” card—as meaning the opposite of its given definition. Others think you’ve overcome the situation in the card, while others see it as a task that you need to complete in order to turn the card right side up. Still others think it’s a combination of all of these. You are free to interpret a reversed card any way you like, or disregard its reversed position and simply turn it back around.

Elements of the Psychic World: The moon’s phases correspond to the seasons of nature and primitive man came to believe that it regulated life cycles, fertility and the tides. In the first century AD Pliny the Elder catalogued the moon’s influence over life and put forth numerous prescriptions for regulating daily life according to the moon’s phases, in a 37-volume work entitled Natural History. Because the moon waxes, wanes and reappears in fullness each month it also became associated with life, death and rebirth. In mythology the moon is the destination for souls after death and deities of the underworld are often lunar deities. The ancient Greeks believed the moon to be a midway point for souls making their transition to or from earth.
