33 The Advocate

No matter what god or higher power you believe in, we are all part of a collective consciousness, both in this world and the next. Whether your reading comes from tarot, angels or archetype cards we are delving into that collective consciousness. If you are present with a psychic or clairvoyant who has strong connections, you may be connected to individuals but more likely you will be communicating with part of this universal energy which connects us all. Much of the connection comes through our own energies and this is particularly true of online readings.

Upright Meanings: arguments, being defensive/ territorial, struggle, lawsuit or quarrel, strikes, conflict, opposition, disagreements, pent up energy/aggression, frustration, assertive, temper, courage, clashing personalities/egos, adrenaline, chaos, sports, rows, unruliness, aggression, fighting, competition, lack of control/ cooperation, being rough, battles, irritation

Reversed Meanings: reaching agreements, extreme aggression, suppressed temper, end of conflict/ row/ struggle, battle fatigue, intimidation, harmony, compromise, lack of competition, war, finding solutions, peace, shyness, order, fear of confrontation, short fuse, new opportunities, generosity, looking for an argument, focus, control, cooperation

This card may present the querant or someone close to them in need of council. The wisdom and knowledge this archetype brings can help us through difficult times and allow insight into things we find difficult to understand. It can represent a person that sticks up for someone when no-one else will. In reverse it can warn of despair and fear when we or someone close feels truly lost and feels they lack the life tools to cope.

The angel associated with The Advocate is The Guardian Angel Of Maturity

Belonging to the REALM: Heaven of Form , The Guardian Angel of Maturity is in the group known as Guardian Angels.
ANGELIC FUNCTION: To guide our emotional growth
GIFTS FOR THE EARTH: This angel can help you to understand your growth process towards maturity; allow yourself to do the things in life you have always desired; cope with the responsibilities of adulthood

This angel helps us to make careful and wise decisions for our welfare and for the welfare of those in our care, whether we are supervisors, carers or parents.

The Guardian Angel of Maturity helps and guides us to manage high degrees of responsibility for who we are or how we want our lives to be. It helps us when we feel that the weight of our choices may be too much for us to bear and supports us in finding the right answers to the perplexing issues which confront us in our work and in our relationships.

We can pray to this angel to bless and guide us and to help us steer a course through the shoals and draughts of life’s river with wisdom and insight. We can pray to be led to love and joy. We can ask that our decisions come from love and are not based on love of power. We can also ask for guidance in being mindful of the needs of younger or less responsible people entrusted to our care.

This angel helps us to find the peace and wisdom which come with maturity. We may need guidance to know the difference between what simply feels good and what is truly right for us. We may ask for the courage to cultivate wisdom, and the ability to handle power so that we are not abusive.
We can ask that those entrusted to our care feel safe with us. This angel can bless us with self-respect and strength of character so that the trials and difficulties of life do not become a burden, but rather enhance our essential qualities and allow us to be radiant, spiritual beings.

Angel Insights : If you have never seen an angel, that does not mean angels aren’t with you. You have probably unknowingly encountered an angel in human form. People who have seen an angel in their divine state are not loved more or favored more by Spirit. There simply exists a veil between this world and the next that must remain intact to a degree. I believe when you see an angel in a divine state (wings, bright light) that veil is parted for a moment, and it’s an event that just doesn’t happen every day and isn’t supposed to happen every day to the majority of people. (As always, there are exceptions: People who regularly see spirits or angels.) You may even long to see an angel in its divine state, and pray to see one, and still never have the experience in this life. Why? It’s a mystery.
