Family, Friends & Relationships:

In general The reversed Queen of Dynamism can indicate stumbling blocks; these are most often created by other people besides you but occasionally refers to those which you are creating. Do you behave in ways that people find abrasive? Are you shooting yourself in the foot without realizing it? If you don’t know, ask someone you trust to be honest with you.

Card Meanings: Bitter, Absent Mother, Repressed Trauma, Vindictive, Sly, Spiteful, Poor Communication, Scatter-Brain, Obsessive, Cruel, Rude, Dependant, Not Learning From Past, Malicious Gossip, Unforgiving, Pessimistic, Keen, Mental Fogginess, Cheater, Deceitful, Nasty, Dysfunctional, Manipulative, Harsh, Lack Of Empathy, Overly Critical

The Queen of Dynamism can point to a woman in the querent’s life. This is a woman who is not to be trifled with. Often she will have dark hair and/or eyes. If not a person, she can point to the need for you to be forceful and honest in some situation to get your needs met. You may need to put your foot down.

Elements of the Psychic World
Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: The disturbances, which began without warning and ceased equally abruptly five weeks later, affected Mr and Mrs Hermann, their 13-year-old daughter, Lucille and their 12-year-old son, Jimmy. The disturbances began on 6 February, with the inexplicable opening and spilling of bottles in the house when the children were present. On 9 February at 10.15 am, when the entire family was in the dining room, bottles could be heard popping and spilling in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The Hermanns called the police and when an officer arrived to investigate he also heard the sound of popping. A shampoo bottle that had been recapped had supposedly popped open again.

Reversed Cards: This card is deeply connected to the heart center. It is, in essence, a heart chakra card, so think about how important it is when this card shows up in the protection position. It means you are protecting your heart. This is not the same as blocking it. It just means that right now your heart is in pain. It needs time to heal and for you to understand just how vulnerable you are. Because this card is a two, though, you won’t be able to do this healing on your own. It would be best to seek out someone who can assist you with this heart-healing journey. This may be an energy worker, coach, therapist, pastor, or guru. Who you pick is part of the healing process. Trust your heart; it knows who and what it needs to heal.

Tarot Triumphs: In any case, we do not know for sure that the story of Tarot started there, with those gloriously painted sets of cards for the nobility. It is possible, for instance, that there were cheaper, popular woodblock packs out there at the same time that have not survived, and that kept more to the basic imagery and sequence of Tarot Triumphs as we know them. Perhaps there could even have been earlier versions of the set of Tarot images portrayed in different media, such as in book or manuscript form, a series of paintings, or even tableaux acted out on the streets. The parade of the Triumphs that we saw in chapter one was an important concept current on the streets of late medieval Italy and stretching back to Roman times. Each successive float or tableau trumped the one before it, which in the case of the Tarot would result in the Magician being trumped by the High Priestess and so on, all the way through to the final Trump of the World, following—rather appropriately—the last Trump of the last Judgment.

Creative Tarot: Whichever deck is most comfortable for you is the right tarot deck. There are a lot of options out there. I have several different decks—including the Spolia deck I made with the artist Jen May—and I switch them out, depending on mood. Tarot decks can get a little addictive; the art is so beautiful, and each one has a different feel. My own favorites are the Golden, a contemporary deck that features medieval art; the Haindl, a very complex and nontraditional German deck; and the Minchiate, a Renaissance-era deck that has 96 cards instead of the more standard 78. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses. I find the Minchiate most helpful for creative issues, but I’ll almost always turn to the Golden if I have a problem with love. Feel free to experiment. There are online resources such as Facade (www.facade.com) that feature databases of images from a wide range of decks.
