Crowley did not change the personality types of the court cards from those of the Golden Dawn; he merely omitted the physical indicators linked to the court cards.

It means that either the reader or the querent has some bias or preconception or does not really want to know what the cards say. When this happens, the reader invites both parties to reflect quietly on the situation for a couple of minutes. Then the reader can ask the querent if he or she would like to try againthat’s if the reader has discovered no fundamental misgivings about continuing. If both wish to continue, the reader puts all the cards back into the pack and invites the querent to shuffle and go through the process again.
