Family, Friends & Relationships:

You are definitely in a more psychic and intuitive phase than usual, so it will be important for you to trust your instincts and your impressions, even if you don’t know where they are coming from. Also, not that you need to be mistrusting, but it will be helpful for you to realize that when this card appears, it’s possible that all is not what it seems. If you feel you can’t trust someone, then you probably can’t. Go with your gut. If you are waiting on an answer from someone, it may, unfortunately, take longer than you would like for it to. Try to stay patient.

Luna indicates that things may seem somewhat confusing to you now. You may find it hard to understand where you are coming from, much less what others are thinking and feeling! You need to try to sit with the uncertainty, don’t try to force things or people to do things before they are ready. This card is the ‘Pisces’ of the deck.

Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: After nearly 13 years of haunting the Procter family left the house. The house was divided into two and occupied by a foreman and chief clerk of a flour mill. These families were disturbed by strange noises and apparitions but not to the same extent as the Procters. In 1867 a firm of millers rented the house and the new tenants suffered greatly.

Portable Magic: In associating the particular letters to each planet, the learned Jesuit Athanasius Kircher allots Beth to the Sun, Gimel to Venus, Daleth to Mercury, Kaph to Luna, Peh to Saturn, Resh to Jupiter, and Tau to Mars. Kalisch in the supplementary paragraphs gives a different attribution; both are wrong, according to clairvoyant investigation. Consult the Tarot symbolism given by Court de Gebelin, Eliphas Levi, and my notes to the Isiac Tablet of Bembo. The true attribution is probably not anywhere printed.

Tarot Triumphs: 68 The overlap and shifting imagery to identify the different lines of thought are beyond the scope of this book, but Robert Fludd’s well-known image of Integra Naturae, which he included in his third book, Macrocosmus, can be viewed at https://farm7.static.flickr.com/6187/6130074265_d9eee51380_o.jpg. For a more detailed exposition of the different sources of this image, see Place, The Tarot, 162.

Elements of the Psychic World: The moon’s phases correspond to the seasons of nature and primitive man came to believe that it regulated life cycles, fertility and the tides. In the first century AD Pliny the Elder catalogued the moon’s influence over life and put forth numerous prescriptions for regulating daily life according to the moon’s phases, in a 37-volume work entitled Natural History. Because the moon waxes, wanes and reappears in fullness each month it also became associated with life, death and rebirth. In mythology the moon is the destination for souls after death and deities of the underworld are often lunar deities. The ancient Greeks believed the moon to be a midway point for souls making their transition to or from earth.
