Book Details
Development for Beginners: All three of these aspects work in conjunction with one another to create all of our complicated actions and conducts. In order for us as humans to have sound mental health and be well-balanced individuals, the three aspects of our psyches need to operate in a harmonious, stable manner.

Reversed Cards: Most people overlook the mundane successes. They don’t stop to count their small blessings, never quite seem satisfied with what they have created, and instead focus on what is missing. If you have received the Six of Wands in the blocked aspect, you are missing the small miracles of everyday life. When you have the Six of Wands blocked, try a simple exercise to keep you focused on your everyday blessings. Each day list five things that made your day joyful, productive, and abundant. These won’t be big things; they will be small, like seeds just waiting to grow.

Complete Book of Tarot: If astrology is not your cup of tea, Carolyn Cushing of the Art of Change Tarot website offers a weekly three-card ‘Path-Practice-Posture’ layout along similar lines. 16 Carolyn calls her layout the ‘Soul Practices’ or ‘Sacred Practices’ spread. Her preferred deck for this spread is the Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert.

Complete Book of Tarot: The sequence of cards implies movement away from a difficult situation toward a period of family tranquility. The first card, the Six of Swords, shows a ferryman propelling a woman and child (the querent and her son?) away from troubled waters. The ferryman could well stand for the lawyer whom her son had consulted to handle his case. She and her son felt confident in the lawyer’s ability. The outcome was that her son did not go to jail. Instead, he received a suspended sentence with a requirement to do community service and attend alcohol counseling. A little further on, we will see another reading for the same situation, this time asked by the woman’s husband.
