Faith, Spirituality Or Psychic Progression:

This is a time to give thanks for the past but not to feel as though you must remain exactly who you were when you are younger. You have reached a point where it is important to look into other ways of exploring your spirituality, and where you can benefit from learning from the approaches that others take. Read, and listen, and you will benefit tremendously.

Card Meanings: Leaving Home, Growing Up, Letting Go Of The Past, Maturity, Disappointment, Friendship, Childhood Abuse, Boredom, Rose-Tinted View Of The Past, Stagnation, Resolving Childhood Issues, Lack Of Creativity, Independence, Focusing On The Future, Being Stuck In The Past, Past, Stolen Innocence

The Six of Primordialism is often a card about nostalgia; looking back on how things ‘used’ to be. It can be (but is not always) connected with children or childhood.

Elements of the Psychic World
Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: Croiset was raised in foster homes and orphanages and began to experience clairvoyance at the age of six. He dropped out of school at 13 and drifted into unskilled work. The turning point in his life came in 1935 when he was introduced to a group of local spiritualists, and over the next few years his reputation as a psychic and healer grew. In 1945 Croiset volunteered to be a test subject for the parapsychologist Willem Tenhaef from the University of Utrecht. Tenhaef was so impressed by Croiset’s ability that he began to mentor him, and introduced him to police work. In the years that followed Croiset became famous for his help in solving crimes all over the world. His passion was finding missing children.

Reversed Cards: Do you like change? Most people do not. In fact, most people will resist change with everything they have. They will stick with dead-end jobs and lifeless relationships just so they don’t have to deal with Death’s energy, change. All of this stems from one dominant emotion: fear. Fear of death is what keeps us in the shadow lands, which is ironic because death lives in the shadow lands. But why do people fight change so much? Because, for whatever reason, the excuses serve them. Every reason ‘why not’ serves a specific purpose, and even though it is sucking the life out of you, the payoff for not changing and living in fear seems to trump the unknown on the other side. If you have drawn this card in the shadow aspect, you need to take a good long look at all of the excuses you cling to that keep you from the life, relationship, or job you say you really want. All of this fear weakens you and keeps you small. But maybe that’s the way you like it? Just know this: Death isn’t afraid of the shadows. Which means there is nowhere to hide from the inevitable force of Death’s blow.

Tarot Triumphs: By this time I had some experience in Tarot, and I didn’t want to be considered a complete novice. I felt some resistance as he began to relate his theory of how one phase of the cards led on to another. The twenty-two could be divided into three sequences of seven cards, with the Fool numbered zero as a wild card, free of such constraints. Again, his version has become overlaid with others in my mind; many years have passed, and I recall the quality rather than the detail of what he said. What he did teach me, though, was that there are ways of finding inherent structure within the sequence of Triumphs. And I also discovered that I could learn from someone even if I didn’t like or trust them. Being pushed out of one’s comfort zone is often the first real step to learning; America did that for me in general, so that I was open to encountering Tarot, and now my own will and judgment were definitely in uncomfortable friction with an imperious, and perhaps dangerous, man. But his message got through, and he became my second Tarot master. We did not meet again.

Tarot Card Meanings: In most Tarot decks the cards have a clear ‘upright’ and ‘reversed’ position.  The meanings in this book follow the traditional interpretation of these positions.  Generally the reversed position  indicates the same forces at work but in a negative (or opposite) way.  Modern playing card decks feature designs that do not clearly appear reversed or upright and if you choose to use playing cards as your main deck it’s advisable to make a small mark to denote the upright/reversed orientation.
