This is a card about the manifestation of the fruits of our labours, in whatever area they have been directed. If we aim all our energies in a single stream of force toward one end, there comes a point, inevitably, where we shall attain our objective. Often, commentaries on this card warn that once sufficient wealth has been attained, you should make sure you distribute excess fairly and generously. This is because energy which remains unused eventually corrupts and dissipates. But there’s another aspect to the right use of energy which is not often addressed – to do with the way the Will works. There’s a common misunderstanding about the use of Will among us – we tend to think that applying Will is something that we only do consciously. Not so! The human Will works all the time. It runs around happily creating whatever seems most pressing in your mind. This has a rather unfortunate side effect. For many people, the most pressing emotions and responses in their minds are connected to fear, pain, unhappiness or deprivation. Once seized by feelings such as these, it can be very difficult indeed to keep your mind off them, and engage in positive thoughts, affirmations and actions.
You know the feeling something comes along and hurts you. Then you suffer. You keep circling the issue in your mind. You build up a nice collection of fears. You make a lot of (often wildly illogical) painful associations. And you do not find a relevant affirmation and repeat it with extraordinary fervour until you have your feelings back under control. You do not go and do something nice for yourself. You do not deliberately force your thoughts and feelings onto a more positive track. All the time that cycle is taking place, your Will is wildly scampering after all those negative feelings and channelling your energy out into life, attempting to create the things it thinks you want! Dissipation of power causing chaos!! The Lord of Wealth teaches us the invaluable lesson ..by bringing our thoughts and emotions to a conscious level, and by making positive choices about how we direct those energies, we create our world. So we need to decide what we what, and then think about that ..not linger on the things that we don’t want. And we need to trust our own energy to fly out into the Universe and come back to us completed. Then we are endlessly wealthy.

Reversed Cards: The Ten of Pentacles is often referred to as the legacy card, but what if you dont know what you want your legacy to be or even if you want to leave one? We are often asked to think about what sort of mark we wish to leave on the world or how we wish to be remembered when we are gone. It always surprises me that there never seems to be room for people who really dont care about legacy, which is one way to think about the Ten of Pentacles in the mirror aspect. The other, of course, is to say that it is time to get your head straight about what sort of legacy you wish to create.
Reversed Cards: Regardless of being right-side up or upside down, the Fool is the journey man of the tarot universe. The Fool is you, me, and every other person who comes to the tarot for guidance, healing, or answers. The Fool is not really the beginning point of the journey but rather the mere possibility of one. Rachel Pollack tells us in her book The New Tarot Handbook that the meaning of the Fool is less about how he or she is pictorially represented and more about the numerical reference on the card itself. The Fool is zero. Nothing or ‘no-thing,’ as Pollack calls it. The zero has no up and no down. It is the same regardless of the upright or reversed position of the card. This means the Fool or journey man stands at the edge of all possibility, to which nothing has been attached. No expectations, no judgment, and no identity. The Fool is in essence who we are before we become tainted with ego. No wrong. No right. Just being.

Angel Insights : The angel realm is telling me that one of the chief tasks of these angels is to keep the energy of the home or space positive and lovingto increase the vibrational energy of the space, bringing it closer to the vibration of Spirit. In a practical sense this could mean family members getting along peacefully or if it is an office space that the work done there is ethical and of exceptional quality (these are outcomes the angels cannot control, only encourage.) The angels have also told me that these helper angels can clean an area. The angels show me an image of angels sweeping out a home with brooms, but what they are sweeping away is not dirt! It is old energy that can accumulate over time: arguments, illnesses, even intense joy and celebration can clutter the energy of a home over time. Your home should feel peaceful, like a safe womb to retreat to. The angels are also telling me that sometimes, probably without the knowledge of the people inhabiting a house, spirits might be hanging out. The angels are showing me an image of a homeless person living on the street in a makeshift cardboard box. Thats what these spirits are likewanderers, sometimes old ‘ancestors,’ the angels tell me, of people living in the house. The angels also tell me they may just be spirits who are ‘lost.’ Often we will get a sign from a loved one on the other side. These loved ones, as most spirits do, have passed over to heaven and just come to visit us now and again. Popping in to say hi by letting you feel their presence, playing their favorite song on your radio, etc. But these homeless spirits are scared to, or dont know how to, cross over. Usually you never even know these spirits are around, although the angels tell me you might sense that something is ‘off’ about the vibe of the home (this happened to me, and I did, which is rare for me, actually see a ghost in that home later on). But an angel who guards and cleans houses can help these spirits travel to their true home, to heaven.
