Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Portable Magic: She gathers up the cards in the reverse of the order in which they were laid out, first the King of Cups and the three realizers beneath it, then the three elemental trumps of the triangle, then the three planetary modifiers on the circle, followed by the cards of the circle itself, and finally her own significator followed by the
Portable Magic: The best example of the way the triangle was used in ancient times to banish is the ancient abracadabra charm. The word “abracadabra” is a real magic word, although it has been treated as a joke often in films, on television, and in books. It is a charm against fever and is always used in conjunction with a triangle, which may or may not surround the word, but which is always formed by the letters of the word itself. It was used by Serenus Sammonicus, physician to the Roman Emperor Caracalla (ruled 211217), who was said to have invented the charm, but it has its origin much earlier in ancient Mesopotamia, and may derive from the Chaldean phrase abracadabra, which translates to “perish like the word” (Budge, Amubts and Talismans, 220).
Development for Beginners: For example, let’s say that every morning you take route A to work, but for some strange reason, your gut tells you to take route B, even though it is slower and more out of the way. Then, you come to find out there was a huge accident (that you could have been involved in) on your usual work route that particular morning.

Angel Insights : Don’t despair if you try this exercise for a few minutes and no name comes. Take a break and try the exercise again later on. If you feel like you can’t get a solid intuitive hit on a name, it might be that your guardian angels are inviting you to give them names. If this is the case, give each of your guardian angels a name that makes you feel cherished and protected every time you think of it. When I was told by the angel realm that one of my guardian angels is named Samantha, I had to laugh. It was my favorite name as a little girl, which is why I named my beloved teddy bear Samantha, a teddy bear I kept with me even through college, long after I had outgrown stuffed animals. Obviously I loved that name because my guardian angel was whispering her name in my ear, and obviously I loved that teddy bear so much because it was, unbeknownst to my conscious mind, a connection to my angels. If there is a name you have always been attracted to, it might be the name of one of your guardian angels.
