In astral projection the conscious mind leaves the physical body and moves into the astral body and journeys through the astral plane. The astral body is one of our subtle bodies. All of us have experienced Astral Projection whether or not realise it. A better known term is is Out of Body or OBE.

Astral Travel is very different to normal dreaming. It is an extraordinary experience. All who have experienced it can testify to its lucidity and magical quality.

Reality is created by thought projection (consciousness) into the physical. There are 5 subtle bodies In astral projection the conscious mind leaves the physical body and moves into the astral body to experience. In astral projection you remain attached to your physical body by a ‘silver umbilical type cord’. Some people are able to see the cord when astral projecting. To astral project as with all out-of-body experiences one must feel totally relaxed clothing fitting comfortable reclining is best.

It is interesting that conscious Astral Travel is experienced as clearly as we experience our daily life. In fact it is even experienced more clearly at times: our senses seem sharper and the environment somehow more real.

While working on developing your Astral skills it is important to choose a place and time where you will not be disturbed. Normally if you are interrupted during a flight your spirit self will automatically and immediately return to your physical body. It is somewhat of a shock to the system to get snapped back to consciousness in the middle of a journey so pick a place and time where you can be undisturbed. If you choose to Project while others are in the house it is a good idea to let them know what you are doing so if they encounter you in this state they will not become too concerned. In answer to the many questions I receive on the topic of returning to your body the answer is quite simple. All you must do is will yourself to return and it happens.

An easy methods to enjoy out-of-body experiences.

  • Start at the bottom of your feet. Tell them to relax “feet relax…feet relax” .

  • Keep this up until you feel your feet begin to tingle. Then progress to your ankles shins knees thighs etc. At each different point wait for the tingling to begin before going on to the next point.

  • Continue with each section of your body until you are one big tingle from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.

  • Now you are on the edge of melding with your subconscious your astral body is loose and may be causing you to experience a sensation of swaying.
That simply means that you are ready to separate from the physical.

  • Focus on where you want to go or the person you want to see.
Don’t force it. Be relaxed keep your destination in mind and let it happen.

When you have used this relaxation technique a few times you will find that you begin to tingle from head to foot after one or two suggestions rather than taking the fifteen or twenty minutes you found necessary the first couple of times.

Enjoy your out-of-body experience!
