Career, Work Or Retirement:

When you draw The reversed Ace of Pattern, you may need to consider asking for more responsibility at work or a promotion. If you’re thinking about leaving your current position, this card tells you that leaving is likely to be a very good thing. All in all, The reversed Ace says good things are (or will soon be) happening on the work front.

Card Meanings: Greedy, Scarcity, Financial Delays, Deficiency, Stinginess, Lack Of Planning, Money, Excessive Spending, Poor Financial Control, Instability, Lack Of Opportunities Or Lost Opportunities, Greed, Lack Of Money, Insecurity, Misery

The Ace of Pattern is likely to find you enjoying a new beginning on several levels, and this is a very positive new beginning. Your health and vitality is likely to be at a high point. The appearance of this card is usually the sign of a turn for the better in terms of fortune and wealth, and sometimes it can even indicate gifts of money, or inheritance from unexpected sources but it certainly doesn’t mean that someone has to pass over for you to receive this inheritance.

Portable Magic
Book Details
Portable Magic: Significators: A term that comes from Tarot divination, where the significator is a court card representing the person who seeks the reading. Each of the four suits has four court cards. They are used to represent human beings when working Tarot magic. One significator is selected to stand for the magician. Any other human being who may be directly involved in the ritual is represented by a significator chosen from among the remaining court cards.

Reversed Cards: In Rider-Waite-Smith-themed decks, Justice sits right in the middle of the major arcana. She has ten cards on either side of her as she maintains the balance of the higher concepts of the major cards. This role in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck design plays hand in hand with the elements of this card. Justice is a card of finding balance through the pursuit of personal truth. This is echoed in the card’s number vibration as well, eleven/two. (In numerology all numbers are reduced to their single digit. Here 11 becomes 1 + 1 = 2. To show this master number in its true form, it is written 11/2.) In numerology this number is a master number, one that is seeking a higher truth, a deeper spiritual meaning to life on the physical plane. In its upright form, the Justice card asks us to look at how we seek truth in our own personal experience. She asks us to be balanced and fair in our dealings with others and to seek a higher spiritual knowing. Here in the reversed aspect these elements still carry weight; it is just that coming to terms with them and allowing them to play key roles in your daily life causes some challenges.

Tarot Triumphs: Jo thus effected my initiation into Tarot. A Tarot master is, I suggest, someone who acts either as your first true point of contact with Tarot or as a teacher of Tarot at any given moment along the way. Maybe the person is an expert, maybe not. But he or she does know something, and if through that knowledge and living contact your own connection is sparked, then this is the work of a Tarot master. Tarot is a living tradition, and coming to it through someone who is involved in that chain of transmission creates a special understanding of the cards, which will probably color and illuminate your understanding of the Tarot for all time. Of course, this is not the only way that an individual encounters Tarot in a meaningful way. I don’t doubt that for some people the pack of cards itself, or a particular book, may also open the door to a true encounter with Tarot lineage. If this book can achieve that for anyone, I will feel honored to be a link in the chain of transmission.
