Family, Friends & Relationships:

In general The reversed Ace of Dynamism indicates that you need to be careful about illusions. It is very easy to trust people who are untrustworthy, it is very easy to think that ‘just this once’ a get rich quick scheme may actually work. Be thoughtful and circumspect.

Card Meanings: Insults, Intellectual Inability, Tyranny, Obstacles, Hostility, Inability To Concentrate, Power, Creative Blocks, Destruction, Confusion, Misinformation, Memory Loss, Arguments, Injustice, Lack Of Assertiveness, Making The Wrong Decision, Lack Of Ideas, Failure, Hate Triumphing Over Love, Frustration, Lack Of Communication

The Ace of Dynamism can indicate a new beginning of some sort in your life, possibly on several fronts. Sometimes this new beginning can be started by a separation of some kind – from a relationship, or from a job situation. Know that as anxiety-producing as such a new beginning can sometimes be, that underneath it all is good, beneficial energy that is getting you where you want to go.

Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: The case was brought to the attention of parapsychologists William Roll, J G Pratt and J B Rhine, who spent a total of 10 days investigating the house, the family and the popping. In addition to the bottles household objects such as figurines were thrown about or broken. Some of the disturbances were heard but others were witnessed. Pratt and Roll investigated the matter thoroughly to determine if there was some natural explanation for the bottles popping, but found none. They also eliminated radio waves, floor vibrations and electrical malfunction,

Reversed Cards: As the king moves his sword around, every so often it catches the light, reflecting its rays and shining them onto unsuspecting objects just out of the sun’s reach. This helps illuminate things that perhaps were hidden. If you have received this card in the mirror aspect, there is a chance you have not seen the answers to your questions until now. Now might be the time to take a closer look at the cards surrounding the king, as his light will be shining on them as well. What is the king’s sword highlighting in your current experience?

Tarot Triumphs: One issue with defining Tarot history is that it is not just a linear development, but has various offshoots and separate developments during its history. Just as the Silk Road was in fact a collection of branching routes, so Tarot history has its own highways and byways. For our purposes, however, we are following one of the major roads of the historical Tarot trail by focusing on the Marseilles Tarot. The twenty-two cards that I am using in this book became the main established set of Triumphs over the course of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and are now thought of as the ‘traditional’ version of Tarot. The generic name for this pack is the Marseilles Tarot, linking it to the place where many of these designs were produced, once Tarot had spread beyond Northern Italy, where its origins are thought to lie. But although Marseilles was one of the centers of Tarot production, this particular design also became widespread over a much bigger region in Europe, appearing elsewhere in France, and in similar or allied versions in Italy, Germany, and Switzerland in particular. There were some standard variations, especially that of swapping the High Priestess and the Pope for Juno and Jupiter in countries where any hint of Catholicism was distasteful. Another common ploy was to print double-ended packs, using just half of the existing image and presenting each picture in mirrored fashion, for the purpose of playing Tarot card games. Naturally, this produces an incomplete and much less powerful version of each Tarot symbol. An elite version of Tarot, known as the Minchiate pack, contains ninety-seven cards and has allegorical allusions; it is more philosophical, and less powerfully symbolic, in my view. And so the variations go on, along with regional and cultural differences. The suits of the actual playing cards have never been completely fixed either, so that the Germans may use leaves, acorns, and bells where French and English players have spades, clubs, and diamonds. Suits accompanying the Marseilles and other more traditional Tarot packs are usually designated as coins, cups, swords, and wands.
